Self-Definition

Amazing things can truly begin to happen in our lives when we begin to recognize how valuable and special we truly are. When we see ourselves as valuable and deserving of the good in life, we are more likely to take steps to add value to ourselves. How we see and feel about ourselves is critical to how we behave and what we are consequently able to accomplish. If I see myself as valuable and worth the energy and the investment to develop myself to the highest possible levels, I am more likely to put in the time and effort required to accomplish my goals.

Who are you? What do you want to be? What would you like to have? Think about these questions seriously. Grab a notebook and write your responses down. Post them where you can see them everyday. Start your day with them. Bring your day to a close with them. Let them drive how you conduct yourself and what you do during the course of the day. Begin to see yourself as who you really are and not based on past mistakes you may have made. Get rid of all self-imposed limiting beliefs about yourself. You can change your circumstances by simply altering your self-definition.

Zig Ziglar said it well with this quote: "It's impossible to consistently behave in a manner inconsistent with how we see ourselves. We do very few things in a positive way if we feel negative about ourselves". Start to see yourself in a positive light as capable, strong and gifted. See yourself as you want to be. Self-definition is the key to everything. You never get what you want; you get what you are.

Who are you?
