The Power of Vision

Why are you here? What were you created to do? What is your life's mission? Do you even know or are you simply doing whatever it is that the world has thrown at you? What is the desired outcome you want for your life? Are you living rather than thriving?

If you have no clear answers to these questions, it may be time to take a step back and re-evaluate things. In the same way an architect creates a blueprint before a single brick is put down as the foundation, we all must have a blueprint or a vision for the lives we have been so graciously blessed with. This blueprint must be clear and compelling. It must become what we think about the minute we rise in the morning and what we have on our minds when we go to bed at night. It ought to motivate us. It must drive and direct our daily activities.

Who do you want to be? What do you want to become? What gifts and talents do you have? Have can you use them to touch others? A vision is powerful because even though it's extremely personal; it has the ability to touch the lives of everyone around you and at the same time, bring increased happiness, fulfillment, joy, contentment and great peace to your own life. Your vision is so important that it allows you to see the end from the beginning so that you begin every single endeavor with the end in mind.

How do you craft a vision for your life? Start by identifying what you want to achieve. Decide how you would like to influence others. It really doesn't matter how lofty your dream might seem, write it down anyway. Place it in places where you see it at the start and the end of every single day. Believe that you can be anything you want to be; do anything you want to do. All you need to do is figure out how.

If you've never developed a vision for your life, don't allow one more day to go by without having one.
