Without a good grasp on your thoughts, trying to change your life for the better will be a struggle. Whether you want to admit it or not, what you can see right now is an indication of what is going on in your thought life. The type of person you will be in two, five or ten years is highly dependent on the kind of thoughts you entertain today. Your thought-life makes a big difference to your journey through life. If you want the best for yourself in a big way, beginning the re-alignment of your thoughts is a superb way to start.
A few years ago, one of my mentors said something that flipped a switch in the recesses of my mind. According to him, the richest place on earth is not the oil fields in the middle east or the diamonds fields of South Africa; its the cemetery where many lay dead without realizing their dreams. Deep in many graves lay books that were never written, movies that were never created, and businesses that never got off the ground. All the great thoughts that could have moved them in the right direction for their lives were never harnessed.
You can very easily precondition your mind for failure or for success. With effort and total commitment, everyone has the ability to transform their mind for the better. The responsibility of nurturing positive thoughts and eliminating negative ones lies with you and no-one else. Think the kind of thoughts that builds you up and not ones that tear you apart. Telling yourself, "I'm too fat. I can never lose this weight." is not helpful to you or to the people who are waiting on you to be successful so you can show them how to overcome the same struggle. Start seeing and experiencing the best YOU. No-one will if you don't. It all starts with you. It's super important that you have a healthy view of yourself no matter what you are going through or what anyone may have said to you and about you in the past. With the right thoughts and attitude, you can successfully turn any criticism into a positive outcome.
You can indeed think your way to a successful life by cultivating the right thoughts that set the tone for the direction in which your life will travel. Just as you make an effort to feed your body with food that will nourish it; take the time to feed your mind with good positive thoughts. The more positive thoughts you allow to take refuge in your mind, the less room there will be for negative and unhealthy ones.
So I ask you - Do you want to move your life to the next level? If the answer is yes, then heed the words of Benjamin Disraeli which says, "Nurture great thoughts, for you will never go higher than your thoughts".
