Who Are You?

Nothing is created without a purpose in mind. Every invention that ever went to market had a reason for being. No-one can create a market for a product without clearly articulating what the purpose of the product is. A chair is created for sitting in even though we humans use it for other things such as propping doors open or as a step tool. But it's original purpose is clear. If a chair could talk, it would tell us that it's best used when utilized as a chair and not a step stool or to prop open doors.

Likewise, every human being has a purpose for which they were created to function but oftentimes when you ask people who they are, they tell you what they do. I can testify that what you do and what you were created for may be very different. This is where misuse may come into play. The reality is that who you were created to be is a whole lot more than what you do for a living. If you've lived through many years like I have and wasted a lot of days, you often wonder whether you are truly operating in your area of talent. As you are well aware, time waits for no-one so you owe it to yourself to investigate what you want to do with the rest of your life.

The sooner you can figure that out, the quicker you can get on the path to true success. Anytime purpose is not clear, chaos ensues. Nothing will make a greater difference than knowing who you are and what you are about. It simplifies your life. It gives your existence true meaning. It keeps you focused so you don't exhaust yourself trying to be everything to everyone. It keeps you motivated and committed to what you do - two key ingredients to making a real difference.

I challenge you to stop for a moment; take some time to think about your purpose - the reason why you are here on earth. It could very well flick a switch for you and end up changing your life.
